Hormones affect a lot of the body, including the bowels and the bladder. A lot of people have bowels and bladder problems during their periods and part of that is being gassy.

It’s possible if you have sensitive bowels. Everyone’s body reacts to anal play differently and some people do find it uncomfortable or that it effects their bowels. It could also be the type of lube. It’s always a good idea to use condoms during anal sex because semen can have a tendency to cause diarrhea after.

Are the toys you are using higher quality (silicone, metal, glass, ceramic, or 100% plastic), if not that could be causing it. Also, yes parabens or glycerin in the lube could be causing it. Sliquid is a brand that generally is paraben and glycerin free so if you can get a hold of that it should work.
