The thing is, I do find men attractive, just not cis penises, so this attraction tends to snake towards other trans men. Is this gross objectification or just a preference? I don't want to be a terrible person, thanks.

Although many orientations do center around gender rather than genitals, some people do have preferences for genitals rather than gender and that’s fine. Gynosexual is usually the word people use when they’re attracted to those who have vaginas or are DFAB. As long as you aren’t viewing trans men as sexual objects rather than as men and regular people it’s not objectification.

I can keep my feelings in check, I just worry I'm being too sexual and he won't like me as a friend if I return the physical affection.

It’s up to the individual. Some people have great experiences with FWB or other sorts of relationships and others don’t. I’ve personally had great luck with it so I know it definitely can be successful. The main thing is just like any other relationship, communicating what you want and asking what the other person wants and setting boundaries for the relationship as to what is okay and what isn’t and make sure everyone involved is on the same page.

It’s best to use condoms! Also they tend to break really quickly so just be aware you get what you pay for when it comes to sex toys.

I recommend buying Neutrogena's Wave! it's a vibrating facial cleanser that uses one AA battery! a vibrator/cleansing tool haha and its about $10 :) i just sterilize mine with alcohol before and after usage. I work in a bakery, and my clothes are always full of flour, salt, etc, and mixed with sweat cause an extremely painful rash in my abdomen, just under my breasts. I've found that putting A+D ointment on it and letting it air out after showering causes it to stop hurting overnight! I have to do it every day, but it still helps a lot. (A+D is a diaper rash cream, so any rite aid should carry it)

When my penis gets hard something clear comes out. What is this and why. Is there something I can do so this does not happen?

This is called pre ejaculate. This happens to everyone, it’s supposed to happen so you can’t stop it. This is your body’s way of producing lubrication to help with sex and to get your body ready to ejaculate if you decide to sexually stimulate your penis.

I can't afford one (yet), I don't think I can go to a store and get one and even if I could I'm way too embarrassed.

From the FAQ:

Q: I’m under age. How do I get a vibrator?

A: Usually the easiest way to get a vibrator when you’re underage/don’t have your own money source is buying something random that vibrates and using that. Just make sure to keep it clean and cover it either with a condom or non microwavable saran wrap. You can also use a shower head directed at your clitoris (not your vagina, since that can be unhealthy). There is a mini vibrator trojan makes that I’ve heard is good and inexpensive and easy to find in drug stores, so if you have any money you could get that. If you have more money and either a bank account with a debit card or get a pre paid credit card online you can buy toys online which arrive in regular boxes with no indication that sex toys are inside. Some sex stores don’t card, so you could try to sneak in and buy one there as well. For more advice see this post.

I'm cisf, he's cism. We always use an external condom, and I use water based lube. But almost immediately after sex I have intense itchiness. Then the next few days, thick discharge and practically continuous itching. If there anything I can do about this? It's kind of a pain literally and having to constantly make doctor appts. I'll try anything

Here are my tips:

Avoid using Bubble baths, soaps, vaginal contraceptives (spermicide, diaphragms, cervical caps, and the sponge), feminine sprays, and perfumes. If you use lube make sure it doesn’t have glycerin or parabens. Never get food near your vulva. If you use condoms try latex free condoms. Using barrier methods during sex (vaginal, oral, manual, and genital rubbing) can help as well.

Avoid tight fitting non absorbent clothing. Wear cotton underwear and loose bottoms.

Avoid disposable tampons or pads. Menstrual cups and reusable cloth pads work better.

Upping the immune system can help tremendously. Using vitamins like vitamin C and eating garlic and taking Echinacea help. Eating yogurt (especially organic or sugar free) can help a lot.

Only wash your vulva with water. Avoid using soaps, “feminine hygiene products” and douching. Wipe from front to back and never put anything that has been in your anus in your vagina.

Always urinate and clean up after sex.

Drink plenty of water and limit sugars as much as possible. Eat good food and exercise regularly. Get lots of sleep and avoid stress.

I've been sexually active, but have used condoms every single time. I've also been through some emotional stress with my boyfriend, and also was sick - so I went to the doctors and tested positive for glandular fever. While I was sick with this, I think I was ovulating so maybe thats the cause of delay. I was vomiting, bed ridden, and not eating a whole lot. But now I seem fine.. I'm really scared but am getting a test soon.

It’s a good idea to get tested just to be sure, but being sick can definitely cause you to miss your period so try not to worry too much.

I'm still mentally horrified but physically I feel kind of horny. The same thing sometimes happens when I'm in a lot of stress. Is there something wrong with me?

That’s really common.

I have a theory about it, but no evidence to back it up but here’s my theory. We know for sure that a lot of times oxytocin are released during sex. We also know that it is a lot of times released in times of high stress, especially when it’s related to social anxiety or nervousness. Because of that link and because what you described is pretty common, I think that certain hormones or brain chemicals are released both during arousal and during times of high stress or anxiety which could cause mixed signals and cause arousal during certain instances. This is just my little personal theory, so far I haven’t found any explanation as to why this occurs.

Help?

That’s common for the first 3 months of any new birth control. If it just gets to be more you can handle or continues after 3 months talk to a doctor about switching to something else.

I want to try it after my periods over with, but I'm really hesitant about it.

Don’t ever douche, even after periods just don’t do it. The only time when vaginal douching is a good thing, is for trans women after surgery they need to douche every so often for a while. If you’re DFAB (designated female at birth) don’t douche. There may be a couple instances where a doctor would tell you to douche but if a doctor hasn’t told you to don’t do it. Your vagina is self cleaning and it can take care of itself.

I had to wait the FULL 6 months until my periods settled down. Since then, it's just been random spotting, no cramps like I used to. However, about 7 days ago (writing this the 9th) I started getting cramps like I used to where were really bad and it randomly just started and I've just had a normal period. Is it possible my implant has stopped working or something?

It could be that the implant just isn’t for you. Any time after 3 months if you don’t love it I suggest seeing a doctor. Definitely since you’ve been on it for 6 months and it’s still not working out I’d talk to a doctor about it.

The idea of ever breaking up terrifies me, mostly because I would be devastated to lose him, but also partly because I believe in feminism and social justice and he's basically the only guy I know who actually takes me seriously. I've become bitter about cis men and I feel like if I ever lost my boyfriend, I'd never be able to find anyone else I could be happy with. Is it normal that I'm worrying about this? Is it a legitimate concern?

Those fears are really common! A lot of people (myself included) are afraid of the possibility of being broken up with and sometimes it can feel like this is the only person who could ever love you like that or that you could ever love like that. However, our world is packed full of people and I promise you if your boyfriend ever breaks up with you there are plenty more where that came from.

Think of it like this, if you ever break up there’s obviously something not working out in the relationship. No one is perfect. Dating is about helping each other grow and sometimes you grow apart and that’s okay. Then you’ll meet someone else who will help you grow more and maybe they fit you better.

As far as the feminist/social justice thing, I can personally attest that there’s more than one man out there who takes it seriously. Many of us advocates have loving significant others who support us in what we do, my boyfriend definitely takes me and my work (which is very social justice-y) seriously.

I noticed it last night and it stung a little like a painful pimple but when I squeezed it (on accident) there was pain and no odor of what came out, it just looked like a really gross whitehead. It feels a little raw now but otherwise fine. Please help! :C

That’s totally normal. Try not to mess with it, it’ll go away on its own. For now, just clean the area with water and keep it dry and it should heal fine on its own.

He usually just starts fingering me and he can get it back up within seconds, is that normal? I know it bothers him, makes him feel embarrassed.

Usually losing an erection is a psychological issue, although occasionally it is physical. If they can’t keep an erection during masturbation it could be physical and they might need to see a doctor. Other than that it could be anxiety or insecurities about sex, their body, the relationship or anything like that. Ask them about it and see if there’s anything that you need to work through. Also, have them coach you and tell you what feels the best and what doesn’t. Communication is key! It could also be that the condom is the wrong size. It should not be uncomfortable or tight. You can also try a thinner condom to increase sensitivity.

My gyno doesn't know I have herpes and for personal reasons, I don't want her to know (I was diagnosed by Planned Parenthood). Are there any risks associated with having the surgery and having herpes, besides an increased risk for a OB after surgery? Is it possible they could find out I have herpes when they are doing the surgery and see sores on my cervix?

I would strongly suggest telling your doctor as it’s really important to talk about your medical history and discuss any conditions you have. I’m not a doctor, so I really don’t know if having genital herpes would have any baring in that type of surgery. I don’t believe so, the sores are just generally on the outer genital area and when there aren’t any present you can’t tell by looking (and many times by blood test) that you have herpes but there may be extra precautions they take when someone has genital herpes. I know it can be embarrassing and I know sometimes even doctors can be judgmental but when it comes to your health honesty with your doctor is really important.

It can be so difficult to make friends, especially when you’re in school when things can be so run by cliques. It can be doubly difficult if you have any anxiety or social issues. What I suggest for becoming more social is to look for activities you can do; see what clubs you’d really enjoy, what kinds of groups there are in your town, or just hang out at places you enjoy like in the park or the library. To find people with similar interests as you really indulge in what you like to do whether that be arts, sports, reading, or anything else. Get yourself used to being around other people, and then start talking to them. Eventually you’ll get to the point where making friends will get easier. Don’t feel bad if it’s difficult, I’m 22 and I’m still working on perfecting this technique and trying to make new friends.
