Anonymous asked: Anon with the mom/birth control issues - I had a friend whose mom basically was calling her a whiote for having sex but didn't get her in birth control. About 7 months later, she was a pregnant 14 year old. Just remind her safe sex is better than unwanted pregnancies. Also, it maybe too late now, but maybe you could tell her you want birth control because your periods are irregular?
Yeah, reminding your mom that you’re being responsible and mature about sex since you plan on protecting yourself from unplanned pregnancy could help. Let your mom know that you feel ready for sex, and it’s not about age, it’s about maturity.
If you do happen to have particularly painful or irregular periods, or simply want to have fewer periods (some forms of birth control allow you to skip periods), you could try getting birth control for that reason as well.
