Anonymous asked: You know what I really appreciate? That you're honest about the chances of pregnancy. You always say "Yes there's a chance, but it's slight, if it is." There are so many things you've been noting as "I mean, yeah maybe, but odds are, no," that I was told in high school "IF YOU DO THIS THING YOU COULD STILL GET PREGNANT YOU COULD ALWAYS GET PREGNANT IF THERE'S A PENIS ANYWHERE NEAR YOU," and I felt like it was to frighten more than help me. So I'm glad you're always upfront.
Like half of a lot of sex education is scare tactics whether about pregnancy or STIs, the rest is just really incomplete information and not explaining what actually it is that causes pregnancies or STI transmission. I try to be as upfront as possible, and I also try to stay away from yes or no answers. Like anytime that semen or pre ejaculate is around a vulva there is a chance of pregnancy so I won’t say even in the really unlikely scenarios “absolutely no chance” because generally speaking there are very few absolutes but I will definitely tell you if it is a small chance or large chance. Making people afraid is the exact opposite of what I want to do, but I do think it’s important to know the risks.
