Anonymous asked: Can you get genital herpes on your genitals from performing oral sex on a partner?
No. Herpes is spread by skin contact. That means whatever skin comes in contact with where the virus is housed (like the genitals) could get infected. Now if your partner has genital herpes and you perform oral sex and get oral herpes then kiss them and give them oral herpes and then they perform oral sex on you it’s possible you could get genital herpes. That’s why I suggest always using protection during oral sex when a partner has any kind of herpes.
